HTML Free Codes
Privacy notice

The version described here
This notice describes manual advertising on selected substantive pages of HTML Free Codes. An advertisement, labelled Advertisements, may be requested in a reserved space after useful content. Nine substantial lessons also have a second reserved unit at a reviewed teaching break; other selected pages have one. On the homepage it follows the complete starter example and explanation. On original example pages it follows the preview/source and complete-document disclosure; most also show the usage guide before the ad. On learning and reference pages, the primary square unit sits separately below the Your next building block navigation card. On a wide desktop with enough reading space, it follows scrolling within the article and leaves before the footer. Narrow, touch and short viewport layouts keep the unit in normal flow. On the nine longer lessons, the earlier unit follows a complete working example and its notes or a substantive introductory section, with substantial teaching content between units. The catalogue and search results, section directories, policies, historical-only references, playground, shared code, raw demos and downloads have no manual unit. Auto ads and Auto optimize remain off. There is no account registration or code-upload service. Optional Google Analytics is enabled only after separate Analytics permission. Google's tag on selected pages can make advertising, third-party consent and tag-service requests.
Preferences stored in your browser
The site uses local storage to remember your light/dark theme and motion choices on this device. The public preference keys are htmlfreecodes.theme, htmlfreecodes.motion and htmlfreecodes.heroMotion. This site code does not set its own cookies. These preference values are not sent by the site code to a server.
You can remove these choices by clearing this site's storage in your browser settings. Local storage normally remains until you or your browser clear it. Blocking storage does not stop you reading lessons or copying code, but preferences may no longer persist. Your browser's reduced-motion setting is also respected.
Playground code, copying and downloads
Code typed into the playground stays in the current browser tab. The editor does not upload it or save it in local storage. Reloading or closing the tab can discard unsaved changes. Copy and Save HTML act only when you choose them: Copy writes to your clipboard when allowed, and Save creates a file on your device.
Previews run in an isolated frame that blocks external network access, form submission, browser storage and parent-page access. A file you save and open separately is ordinary HTML and can behave differently. Check code and dependencies before using it outside the preview.
Share links and search URLs
Share creates a URL containing readable, encoded code after #code=. The code is not encrypted or held in private storage. Anyone who receives that URL can read and change it; it may remain in browser history, clipboard history or messages where you paste it. Do not put credentials, personal information or private code in a share link.
The fragment after # is not sent as part of the normal HTTP request. Selecting a published starting example or source can keep a public identifier in the address and request its snippet from this website. When an incoming link contains shared code or a search term, the site reads that starting state locally and removes private values from the current address. Search filtering then uses local state; public category or sort choices can remain in the address. Copying or bookmarking the cleaned address in a new browser entry opens the public page without that private code or search term. Use Share when you deliberately want a link containing code.
Imported starting code and search state can be retained inside the current browser navigation entry for Reload, Back, Forward and Reset. It is readable local browser state, not encrypted storage, and can last as long as the browser retains that entry, including session restoration. Later typed code is not automatically saved to history, local storage or session storage. If entry restoration is unavailable, the playground explains that it is using the public starting example. Cleaning the address does not erase the original URL from browser records or an incoming referrer, and an initial query may already have reached the host. Incoming query strings may be visible to the hosting service before the page cleans the address. Avoid sensitive information in shared links and search terms.
Hosting and contact messages
Your browser must send connection and request information to the hosting service to load a page. This can include your IP address, requested path and query, browser information and a referring page where the browser permits it. Hosting services may keep access or security logs according to their configuration.
The planned website uses Hostinger Business Web Hosting and manually uploaded static files. Its processors, actual log settings, processing location and retention have not yet been confirmed; no specific retention period or deletion guarantee is asserted here. Contact the owner for information about a particular request.
If you email the owner, your email address and message are received through the email services involved. There is no contact-form delivery service in this version. Do not email passwords or private code. Email-provider retention and security arrangements have not been verified; contact the owner with a request about a message you have sent.
Google advertising
Google AdSense is the only advertising service in this release. Where an ad is eligible, Google and any ad technology partners selected through its settings may use cookies or other technologies to show ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Google may receive information such as the page URL and IP address for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention.
Read how Google uses information from partner sites and Google's advertising information. Google's ad settings let you manage personalized advertising. Choosing non-personalized ads does not by itself mean no advertising data is processed; Google ad settings do not replace any required consent choices on this site.
At the account review for this release, Limited ads were allowed. With that setting, eligible limited ads can use cookies and local storage for invalid-traffic detection. Rejecting personalized advertising does not by itself mean that all ad requests or storage stop. Read Google's limited-ads explanation. This release can queue up to two separately visible manual units on the nine selected substantial lessons and one on other selected pages; Google determines eligibility using its real consent and opt-out signals. The Google tag can also communicate with Google for consent and tag services. Its real behavior must respect applicable consent and opt-out choices.
Manual advertising and the Google tag are enabled on the selected substantive public pages described above, including Calculator, Search box and HTML Scrollbox. Private query states and unknown or code-bearing fragments do not initialize ads. Public section anchors on that same published page remain eligible. After a private, unknown or malformed URL state is observed, new ad initialization and manual requests stay suppressed for that document, even if its URL is cleared; loading a fresh public page restores eligibility. Clearing the address does not remove readable navigation records or stop a Google tag that already loaded. Google may receive the page URL, IP address and browser or device information, and may use cookies or other storage for its consent and tag services. Its published European message determines applicable consent choices; where European regulations apply and the API is available, Privacy and cookie choices in that page's footer reopens the Google message to change or withdraw consent. An unavailable control or absent message is not proof of consent. The US-state message is published for this site, targeting all current and future supported US states. Where applicable and available, the footer on those selected pages provides Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, which opens Google's US opt-out confirmation dialog. This first-party entrypoint follows Google's real US status and GPP updates; the site does not force hidden Google markup to appear. Observed European withdrawal and US opt-out behavior inform this integration review; they do not establish every visitor, region or future message state. Google applies the current user signals when determining advertising eligibility. The actual participating vendors must be disclosed through the consent setup. The site does not replace Google's real decisions with a synthetic consent grant.
Optional Analytics
With your separate permission, Google Analytics measures public page visits, recognized acquisition sources and engagement across this site, including tools and playground use. The destination is G-SW9TVLBHKD. Browser-history measurement remains enabled. Page identity uses the published page address and title; entered code, search terms and form contents are not Analytics parameters.
When a saved code or search link opens, the site reads its starting state locally and keeps private values out of the measured address. The address bar can then show the public page. Use Share to create a code-bearing link again. Initial imported code and search state can be retained for this browser entry's restoration; later code edits are not automatically saved. Reload, Back and Reset can restore the starting state where that local restoration is available. Clearing browser history/storage or unavailable storage can remove that restoration. The code-bearing link itself still contains readable code; do not share private information in it.
Incoming referrers and campaign data are reduced to recognized public sources or fixed categories. Detailed referrer paths and free-form campaign labels, IDs, terms and content are not collected. An unknown campaign does not by itself exclude the page visit. Native engagement measures consenting page use, not exact reading time. Declined consent, blockers, device/storage differences and browser behavior mean these reports are not a count of every individual person.
The browser stores your Analytics choice in htmlfreecodes.analytics.v4 for up to 180 days, including the choice, scope, destination and time. It contains no code or form value. If allowed, Google can set this integration's hfcga4-prefixed cookies for up to 180 days and process technical information such as IP address and browser/device data. Google signals and Analytics advertising personalization are disabled. Advertising consent is separate and cannot grant Analytics permission.
You can decline or withdraw using Analytics choices in the footer. Withdrawal disables this destination before its consent update, clears this integration's cookies and synchronizes the choice with other tabs. It does not delete data already received by Google or unload code that already loaded; previously queued authorized requests or technical diagnostics may still complete. Google's partner-site information describes its processing.
Your choices and questions
You can clear browser storage, avoid sharing private code, and choose whether to follow external links. External destinations apply their own privacy practices. Contact info@htmlfreecodes.com for access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests; the response will depend on the data involved and applicable requirements, without a promised response period.
This notice will be updated when the site's actual data handling changes. Review the updated date when returning.
